I'm excited to announce a major PixelPasto update that brings powerful new features to refine your digital paintings, improve workflow, and expand creative possibilities. Whether you're using PixelPasto for illustrations, textures, or animations, these tools will help you achieve more painterly and expressive results.

What's New in PixelPasto

Layer Support – Stack multiple layers by duplicating the geometry nodes tree. This allows for greater depth, controlled abstraction, and detailed refinements without losing previous inputs.

Dual Image Control – Use a path image for stroke flow and a color image for color extraction, ensuring strokes remain consistent across various PBR textures and images.

Enhanced Detail Abstraction – A new slider lets you fine-tune the balance between intricate details and broad painterly strokes for more artistic flexibility.

Optimized Blur Iterations – Faster image sampling and blur iterations improve data transfer and streamline workflow.

Curve Interpolation – Curved strokes now follow scene contours more naturally, creating better movement and seamless transitions.

Partnership with DAUB Brushes – Pixelpasto now includes an exclusive brush pack from DAUB Brushes, with more to come. You can explore them here: DAUB Brushes

Improved Animation Support – A better sampling method ensures strokes remain consistent between frames. Additional simulation effects to reduce jitter are in development.

Quick Start Guide

Open the Image Editor window in Blender.
Click "Open Image" and enable "Detect Sequences" for image sequences.
Once imported, go to the Geometry Nodes Modifier tab and select your images under Path Image and Color Image.
